Although this book is frequently mis-catalogued, it was written not by the famous noveist Walter Bloem (1868-1952), but his son Walter Julius Bloem (1898-1945). The German edition "Seele des Lichtspiels. Ein Bekenntnis zum Film", (1922) was published under his pseudonym Walter Koll.
