Ex-Libris; B & W ; 9 1/2 x 63/4"; Unpaginated pages; Oblong shaped hard cover has green cloth tape around edges. Green spine. Stamped inside front cover is 'Berkley School, Berkely, Michigan. ' and 2 names next to it, one written in a child's [? ] hand and the other stamped. Red/white end papers with picture of a mouse. Illsutrated with b/w drawings. Overall, pages are clean and tight. Shows light signs of loving enjoyment. Pages not numbered, 48 pages. 'How Snippy and Snappy, two little field mice, ventured forth one day in search of cheese, and were rescued by their father just as they were about to investigate a mouse trap.' "Wanda Hazel Gág (1893 – 1946) was an American artist, author, translator, and illustrator. She is best known for writing and illustrating the children's book Millions of Cats, the oldest American picture book still in print. Gág was also a noted print-maker, receiving international recognition and awards. Growing Pains, a book of excerpts from the diaries of her teen and young adult years, received widespread critical acclaim. Two of her books were awarded Newbery Honors and two received Caldecott Honors. " .
