About This Item
London: Herbert Jenkins Ltd., 1941. Hardcover. Very Good -/No Jacket. The interior of the book is tight and complete. There is a former owner's signature in ink on the front free end paper, and both the front and rear end papers show tanned blocks. The rest of the pages are fresh. The orange covers are bright, with light wear at the tips, and top and corner of the spine. The edges of the text block show some darkening and several small spots. A nice copy, in slightly less than Very Good condition. Synopsis: "By a lonely lough in Donegal the rich and eccentric Jethro Cobb landed his five strange guests, all fugitives from justice. There, against the sinister background of Sinner's Castle, was played out a fearful drama of hate and suspicion. But with the advent of Conrad Schumann, who had deserted his U-boat to retrieve hidden bullion, the affairs of Jethro Cobb and his five exiled sinners took an unexpected and dramatic turn".
