Used; Like New/Used; Like New. Uncommon signed photograph of the pioneering gospel singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Tharpe, whose mixture of spiritual lyrics and electric guitar was an important early influence on rock and roll, has inscribed "To Clive / yours truly / Sister Rosetta Tharpe / Dec. 22 1939" in blue ink across the image, a halftone photograph of her in performance, her name printed beneath the image. Mild wear to edges, creasing to corners; else in fine condition. 8.25 x 6.6 inches (21 x 16.8 cm.).
