Good/No jacket. 385 pages with index, illustrated with tissue protected black and white frontispiece portrait of Lanier with facsimile signature plus black and white plates. A biography of the Southern poet, musician and Confederate soldier. Red cloth binding with gilt titles on front cover and spine. Cover heavily spotted, spine faded, some edge wear, corners and spine ends bumped, former owner's name on front free end paper, end papers tanned, a little discoloration on frontispiece, tissue and title page, interior pages lightly tanned but clean, binding tight.
