About This Item
New Orleans: Pelican, 1926. First. hardcover. near fine. Drawn by W.M. Spratling and Arranged by William Faulkner. Thin 8vo, green boards; darker green printed label. New Orleans: The Pelican Bookshop, (1926). First Edition.

Of an edition of 250 copies this is number 15 of about 50, signed on the flyleaf by Spratling, and with some of plates hand tinted by him. Spratling has added a presentation on the dedication page to author Kenneth Roberts, whose ex-libris is on the endpaper. The very delicate binding is in fine, original condition, except for inevitable fading of the spine and upper front cover. There is a half inch closed tear in the margin of the title page, otherwise a fine copy of a very scarce book.
