Boston: Oliver Ditson & Co, 1862. Softcover. Very Good. First edition. Folio. Wrappers. 5pp. An ink mark on page three, a closed tear on pages three and four, front wrapper separating a bit at the top of the spine, rear wrapper separating a bit at the top and the bottom of the spine, offsetting throughout, notches along the spine from once being bound within an album, still a very good and complete copy. For voice and piano. Plate number 21655. *Bibliography of American Literature* states that these lyrics are "Not by Bryant although frequently attributed to him. The author was James Sloan Gibbons (1810-1892)." An early Civil War song inspired by President Lincoln's call for volunteers to join the war effort, with the lyrics, "We're coming, Father Abra'am - three hundred thousand more! / We are coming, we are coming, our Union to restore.
