Originally published in 1920, "She And Allan" is the 11th book in Haggard's now legendary Fantasy Adventure series that began with "King Solomon's Mines." Set in Africa and featuring the great white hunter, Allan Quartermain, this is the story of Quartermain's search for the lost land of Kor and the immortal White Witch, whose knowledge was more than human. First Printing of the First Ballantine Edition. 308 pages; cover art by Michael Herring. Pictorial wrappers show only minor surface and edge wear, no tears or chipping. Light reading crease, slight soiling on back cover. Text has lightly age-tanned margins, o/w clean and complete.
Synopsis
She and Allan is a novel by H. Rider Haggard, first published in 1921. It brought together his two most popular characters, Ayesha from She (to which it serves as a prequel), and Allan Quatermain from King Solomon's Mines. Its significance was recognized by its republication by the Newcastle Publishing Company as the sixth volume of the celebrated Newcastle Forgotten Fantasy Library series in September, 1975.
