A copy of Or Shall We Die? with the pictorial dust wrapper which tied into the National Peace Book Week choice in 1983. The first edition, first impression, second state. In the original pictorial unclipped dust wrapper. Or Shall We Die is an oratory with words written by Ian McEwan. It was set to music by Michael Berkeley and performed at the London Festival Hall by the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. The performance was conducted by Richard Hickox on the 6th of February 1983. It covers issues surrounding the arms race during the 1980s and the idea of war. McEwan asks if the world is ready for the consequences of war. In the original publisher's cloth in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart. The boards are bright and clean. Internally firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Fine
