About This Item
[Italy]:: dated 1953-1977., 1953. 8vo. Various paginations. Half appear to be extracted from their journal sources, while an additional seven are offprints in their original wrappers. All have ownership rubber stamps. Three are INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR. Very good. Several of these works concentrate on the work of Giuseppe Berruti, the nineteenth century gynecologist who founded the Hospital of Maria Vittoria in Torino. Also represented in several of these papers is the School of Salerno and its recommended treatments in the late Middle Ages, including phlebotomy, urology, and sexual hygiene. Hippocrates is the earliest subject of Bettica-Giovannini's pen in this group.
