Peter B. Gleason. 1814. Good+; Hardcover; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; Hartford, CT; 372 pages bound in full leather (mottled calf), with black leather title label & gilt lettering on spine. Firmly bound. Edges of spine & boards worn; corner tips bumped & soft, boards flared. Library bookplate on front endpaper, no other library markings. Endpapers foxed & damp-stained on bottom edge; pages browned; scattered foxing in margins throughout. Bird wrote several books including The Parable of Unclean Spirit, Discourse on Friendship, Sermon on Covetousness, and Jesus Knocking. He served as a warden of Christ Church Cambridge MA from 1802-1803 but his biography and status in the ministry is thus far elusive. Packaged with care and shipped in a box. .
