About This Item
[New York]: New Directions, 1974. First edition, 8vo, pp. [8], 151, [1]; fine copy in a dust jacket adulterated by McClure (see below). From the library of Allan Kornblum, poet, fine press printer, and publisher who founded Coffee House Press. This copy mysteriously inscribed by McClure to Allan Kornblum: "For Allan Kornblum Z / Ø W C / H. Michael." McClure has also inked up his photograph on the rear panel of the dust jacket, with a bold ink 'X' across his face, and a flurry of 25 letters surrounding his visage as if stars, the lone letter left out is 'M,' which he has added twice under the photograph.
