Moderate tanning to pages with heavier tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper and visible foxing and tanning to text block edges. Heavy water stains to rear pastedown and both hinges are cracked with exposed netting. There is cracks to guttering. Binding is loose. Boards have heavy rubbing and edge wear with heavier bumping to corners. Major crushing to spine ends and visible rubbing and sunning to spine. Splitting to joints and fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends.

Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate tanning to spine.

GB: Newnes, 1927. Not dated but author's note "To the Popular Edition, 1927". This edition has no extra illustrations but does have a minefield plan on p126. Text extends to 160 pages. No index. Pictorial cover features three biplanes over a large ship. Fairly clean tight text but paper covers worn with minor loss. . Popular Edition. . Paperback. Good.
