This complete, unedited and handsome edition of Jack London's ultimate sea adventure first published in 1904 was a best-seller in its day and helped cement the author's literary career. His other favorite, "The Call of the Wild," had been published to worldwide acclaim the preceding year. The book is in As New condition and includes the publisher's insert. It is bound in light blue cloth with a deep blue leatherette spine, die-stamped gilt spine titles and front panel titles in white and red, as well as a vignette drawing of a ship on the front panel. It includes illustrations throughout by the original period illustrator W.J. Aylward and an Afterword by John L. Cobbs. The book measures 6 1/4 by 9 3/8 inches and includes 304 pages. . Hard Cover. As New/No Dust Jacket, as Issued. Illus. by W.J. Aylward. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Synopsis

The Sea-Wolf is a 1904 psychological adventure novel by American writer Jack London about a literary critic and other survivors of an ocean collision who come under the dominance of Wolf Larsen, the powerful and amoral sea captain who rescues them. Its first printing of forty thousand copies were immediately sold out before publication on the strength of London's previous The Call of the Wild.
