Cupples and Leon. Hardcover. Good. CR 1927 (1940's reprint). Good Hardcover in a Fair Dustjacket. Blue boards. Spine slanted, edge and corner wear, spine and boards mottled, name in pencil on the front free endpaper (erased), Christmas sticker on the verso of frontispiece, eight pages with small stains in the margins. Solid copy. DJ with edge and corner wear, chips, closed tears, chipped at foot of spine and bottom of front panel, spine sunned, rubbing and scratches. Colour frontispiece.

- The page bound on the left side of a book, opposite to the recto page.
- Spine
- The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf....
- Fair
- is a worn book that has complete text pages (including those with maps or plates) but may lack endpapers, half-title, etc....
- Rubbing
- Abrasion or wear to the surface. Usually used in reference to a book's boards or dust-jacket.
