[6], vii-xxi, [3], 344, [2], 3-8 (pages of publisher's advertisements) pp. Green cloth with gold lettering and gold rules on the spine. Price of 10/6 net on the spine panel. A foundational reference work in the study of folk-lore and fairy tales. Dr. Krappe examines the origins of different tropes in fairy tales, and explores the prevailing theories of how these stories came to be. His work studies stories from around the world, and examines the commonalities between myths from different corners of the globe. A Very Good book with minor foxing to the textblock and a very faint dampstain to the gutter of the half-title page; jacket is Near Fine with some fading to the spine panel and to the top edge of the front panel.
