The text is illustrated with 30 pages of reproductions of advertisements, and 32 pages of covers of the Saturday Evening Post. 1/4 blue coloured cloth covered back strip with gilt coloured titles. 3/4 dark pink coloured boards with gilt coloured illustration to the front panel. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, by Norman Rockwell, with pink and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Published after the closure of the Post, the text of this commemorative edition is the same as that of the original, published in 1954. Even the introduction is unchanged. The book was planned in a time when the magazine was at its peak of importance and influence. It represented all the most admired and wanted to most remember about the Saturday Evening Post. Page XI . Softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the lower book corners and bumping of the top book corners. Very light age toning of the text block edges and pages.
