First Tuttle edition (reprint of the original edition published in 1875). 448 pp. bound in olive green cloth; gilt lettering. 31 illustrations (most reprints from engravings), plus two fold-out maps: Sketch Map of Part of the Rocky Mountains; and Route Map from Crow-wing to Rocky Mountains. Bright lettering; solid binding. Fading/sunning to edges of boards. Pages clean, unmarked. Fold-out maps crisp. Dust jacket has wear to edges; a few shallow chips & tears; one longer tear mended with tape on underside. A clean presentable copy with pristine maps. .
