Octavo, 185pp. Gray cloth, title in black on spine and front cover. Stated "First Edition" on copyright page. Solid text block, faint sunning to spine, top edge dyed brown, a near fine example. In publisher's dust jacket, $2.50 retail price on front flap, shelf wear, a touch of chipping to edges, small closed tear to rear cover. One of 4,000 copies from the first printing. (Currey, page 391 A). Sargasso of Space is the first book in the Solar Queen series, followed by Plague Ship (1956), Voodoo Planet (1959), and Postmarked the Stars (1969).
