London: John Lane the Bodley Head, 1930. Small Quarto. Frontispiece, xviii, 65, (5) pp). Translated from the French of Oscar Wilde, with sixteen beautiful erotic drawings by Aubrey Beardsley. Written in French in 1892, it was in full rehearsal by Madame Bernhardt at the Palace Theatre when it was prohibited by the Censor. A very good copy bound in red decorative gilt cloth, lettering gilt, spine lettering and top edge gilt, small rub spot near lower corner, spine faded with a bit of fading along upper edge. No names or bookplates.
