Paris & London: Limited Editions Club, 1938. Hardcover. Both copies fine in worn publisher slipcase. 71 & 106 pages. 29 x 20 cm. Five full-page pochoir plates illustrated by Derain on black paper (gouache drawings). Type designed by A.M. Cassandre, a new face, called Peignot and set by hand. Limited edition, copies 691 of 1500 signed by Derain. The second volume by Beardsley, with illustrations reproduced under the direction of Ernest Ingham at The Fanfare Press. With a New Introduction by Holbrook Jackson. Limited edition, copy 691 of 1500. The Derain volume is in illustrated black wrappers with tissue guards. The Beardsley is bound in maroon cloth with gilt front cover illustration. Laid-in the Salome volume the Circle In the Square Theatre playbill, listing the cast -- Al Pacino as Herod, and Frances McDormand, wife of later. Molly Ringwald plays Salome.
