In a Fair example of the unprinted wrapper, chipped and shrunken. Lacking ad slip. One of the most uncommon Steinbeck items, offered by his publishers as a Christmas gift.

Red lettering to spine is partially rubbed away and board edges are rubbed through, with minor loss to points; there is a scratch to front board.
