About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf Inc. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1950. First Edition. Hardcover. A very nice first edition (so stated), NOT Junior Literary Guild. The book is fresh and crisp, with the only defect a repair to the endpaper at the front hinge. It had started to separate from the board along the hinge, and has been repaired with archival glue. Otherwise, it's a honey of a copy. The scarce jacket is price-clipped, torn at the front and majorly chipped along the spine, but it has been put back together with a mylar Brodart cover, and the artwork on both the front and back is fully intact and very handsome. .
