Barnes and Company, [1949]. 8vo., blue cloth in dust jacket; 381 pages. First Edition. A complete history of boxing by a boxer at West Point and a member of the 1924 U.S. Olympic boxing team. Grombach was the manager of both Jack Dempsey and Max Baer for their radio and movie appearances. In this book Jack Dempsey also provides a complete course of boxing lessons covering the basic principles of the sport and a complete appendix, including rules and a chronological list of all professional, Olympic, amateur and intercollegiate champion boxers, top gates, oddities and other records never before available in any other single book. Signed inscription by Grombach on the front endpaper: "Cordially, John Grombach" & additionally signed by Jack Dempsey beneath Grombach's inscription.
