London:John Murray, 1904. hard cover. Good/No jacket. London:John Murray. 1904. xvi+738pp+2pp ads. With 9 maps as called for. Hardcover. Red boards with gilt to front cover and spine strip lightly soiled and shelfworn, with wear along edges, both spine ends and edge points gently bumped. The spine strip is slightly sun-faded. Top pages edges gilt. Internally, end pages darkened from age-toning, with previous owners notes, in both pencil and ink, to both front and rear end-pages. There are penciled margin notes (mostly lines marking passages) throughout with an occasional bit of foxing scattered throughout. The binding is tight but front hinge is cracked at title page, with rear intact. A good solid copy.
