Suppressed by Greene for being in his words "of a badness beyond the power of criticism" As a result only 1,018 copies were ever printed. This makes it one of Greene's scarcest books. As with nearly all copies, this one lacks the rare dustwrapper. 299 pp. States first edition and includes "1932" on the title page. see photos. also has a small piece of masking tape inside maybe 3/4 inch but no rip *see photo - collection of Mrs J Paul Getty
