A well-used but complete and tasty reading copy, includes 8 pp of Sidelights by Edward Heron-Allen detailing the life of Edward Fitzgerald, followed by a poem by Edmund Gosse called The Rose from Omar*s Grave, followed by a 14-pg Introduction by Fitzgerald, followed by the 101 stanzas of the Rubaiyat itself (Fourth Edition), followed by 8 pp of Notes. 5 x 6-1/4, 76 pp, top edge gilded. A dog-eared piece of history.
