Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Garden City. the first in the series of travel adventure memoirs that Halliburton wrote in the early 20th Century. In this one, he journeys to Northern Spain, Southern France, Japan, Thailand, and the countries of east Asia. First published by Bobb-Merril in 1925, this is a reprint edition from Garden City. Not dated beyond the original date of 1925, most likely from the mid-1930's. The dust jacket is intact, protected with a clear, removable cover. Appears to be price clipped at the front flap. Jacket has edge wear, creases, small tears at the front left side at the spine gutter, small tears at the bottom edge. Black cloth covered boards with the title in the spine. Very mild edge wear, tips of the corner are just slightly bumped inward. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Retains the photos of the original edition. Vintage map illustration on the pastedown pages. 400 pages, 5-3/4" X 8-1/2". Binding is tight. Top-stain appears to be faded. Faint spots of tanning/foxing to the edges. Rough edged fore edge to the text block. Not a library discard copy. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
