New York: John Wurtele Lovell, 14 to 20 Astor Place, [no date]. Hardcover. Near Fine. Octavo. vi [7]-642 [1]pp., publisher's catalog on one page at the rear: "New York: John W Lovell, 24 Bond Street." Wood-engraved plates and in-text illustrations by Thackery. An interesting copy mis-bound in publisher's cloth boards intended for: "Moore's Universal Assistant and Complete Mechanic." Spine title lettered direct in gilt, both boards with decorative design and lettering stamped in black. One small chip to the front joint, near fine. A handsome, anomalous copy, dating from the 1880s.
