Des Moines: E.H. English, State Printer, 1908. First Edition. Thick Large Octavo. Volume 2 only. 1199 pages. The massive definitive volume on the 9th-16th regimental histories, covering their earliest history to the events of the Civil War. All names are in alphabetical order. Bound by E.D. Chassell (state binder) in 3/4 calf over purple cloth, flat spine, double leather labels in maroon and black lettered in gilt, fading to front and rear boards, corners worn, some wear to calf. A very good copy of this scarce work.
