About This Item
Red cloth covered boards with Victorian girl and "Louisa May Alcott" on front cover. Published by the Goldsmith Publishing company but no date. Possible first edition. Probably from the 1930's to 1940's. 250 clean pages without writing or marks. Front hinge slightly loose at top but binding still good. No dust jacket. This was a church library book, so has sticker remnant and small sticker on spine. Church sticker on front inside board and some dried glue on inside of back cover. Few light stains on front red cloth covered board. Appears to have been lightly read.
Synopsis
In this sequel to Eight Cousins, Rose Campbell returns to the "Aunt Hill" after two years of traveling around the world. Suddenly, she is surrounded by male admirers, all expecting her to marry them. But before she marries anyone, Rose is determined to establish herself as an independent young woman. Besides, she suspects that some of her friends like her more for her money than for herself.
