N26346, with two advertisement leaves to the rear.The 1724 seventh edition of volume II, 'from the settlement of the empire by Augustus Caesar, to the removal of the imperial seat, by Constantine the Great'. ESTC reference number N26347.The 1726 sixth edition of volume III, 'from the removal of the imperial seat by Constantine the Great, to the total failure of the western empire in Augustulus'. ESTC reference number N26350.The 1726 sixth edition of volume IV, 'from the total failure of the Western empire in Augustulus, to the restitution of the same by Charles the Great'. ESTC reference number N26348.The 1726 fifth edition of volume V, 'from the restitution of the empire by Charles the Great, to the taking of Constantinople by the Turks'. ESTC reference number N26349.With an illustrated title page, and further letterpress title page, to each volume.With the stamp of Cornwell House to each front free endpaper.Very scarce complete in five volumes. In full calf bindings with gilt detailing to back strips. Lacking four of five spine labels. Head of front and rear joints of volumes III, IV and V starting. Head of rear joint and entirety of front joint of volume I starting, with front board slightly tender. Stamps to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Small removal to head of each title page. Pages generally clean and bright, with only the odd spot. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
