Else very clean and sturdy palm-sized book with bright gilt titling, cross design and Hebrew characters within the cross. Endpaper stampings indicating it once was the property of the Convent of Saint Helena in Newburgh, N.Y. An essay describing the challenges of being an Episcopal nun. Delivered at the 1906 conference of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross, held in South Byfield, Massachusetts. The author is not identified by name, simply as a nun in the Sisters of the Holy Nativity (an order based in Fond du Lac, Wisc, with a retreat house in Bayshore, N.Y.) Size: 16mo -- 5.5 In Tall.
