[London : Jones & Co., 1829]. A charming antique print of the Robert Adam building at the east end of Princes Street - engraved by Alexander McClatchie (1804?-1888) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd. Originally produced for the part-work "Modern Athens! Displayed in a Series of Views: or, Edinburgh in the Nineteenth Century" (London : 1829-1831). Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 119 x 152mm (approx. 4-5/8" x 6"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
