Thick 4to., 8 1/2" x 10 1/2", xxiv+787pp., illus. with 46 plates - 14 color (12 of uniforms, 2 of colors), 12 plates of badges, numerous text illus., tipped in errata slip. Full morocco with gilt spine titles and decorations, gilt cover crest, gilt decorated black endpapers, top edge gilting. Spine uniformly sunned to a shade of medium brown, sunning bands to covers, mild scattered foxing, light rub at corners, else fine. Binding strong and tight, page block bright and crisp. . 1st. Hard. Very Good Plus/No Jacket. 4to.
