Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Occasional thumb-marking present. Slight cracking to front hinge. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Scuffing and light marking overall. Brown marking and rubbing to paper, with scuffing to edges. Light tanning to spine and edges. Book is slightly bowed.

In thick, brown leather boards, fairly good, straight covers, but front cover detached, back cover loose, all edges worn, corners bumped and frayed. Spine leather peeling and very worn. End papers tanned and grubby. Cut edges very age-toned. The text block is tight, but pages are tanned and grubby with some foxing. With engraved frontispiece, entitled 'The starry sky is an admirable scene, wonders of the most high'. Reading copy only.
