Features a foreword by Judith Russi Kirschner and a long essay by Dennis Adrian. Includes 34 illustrations with 2 in color along with a small photograph of Leaf, and a checklist. A near fine copy in stapled wrappers that are very lightly rubbed and with some very slight foxing. A very nice copy of this surprisingly uncommon catalog.

This book is in good condition. There is some wear on the front, back, spine, edges and corner of the cover. There is some dog-earring on the right corner pages of the book. The pages are white, crisp and clear of any markings. "This is a history of the visual arts produced in the geographical area that now constitutes the United States. Such a book is difficult to title. A History of United States Art sounds awkward and logically might even be construed to exclude the arts of the colonial period.
