About This Item
1973 self published hardcover as pictured. Number 35 of 150 copies which were produced for private distribution only. A nicely made and very interesting book that addresses the question as to whether Nancy Hanks, mother of Abraham Lincoln, was illegitimate and the daughter of a prostitute. Binding is firm. Blue buckram boards are lightly soiled but show minimal wear. Charles Waggoner's (previous owner) bookplate inside front cover with his signature on FFEP. Signed by author on half title page. Provenance documented on RFEP. Text is printed on Brockway text paper. Signatures were printed on one side only. Pages are rough cut on fore edge and uncut at top such that the interior of each uncut pair of pages is blank. Text is clean and unmarked. Includes many reproductions of original documents on which the authors argument is based. No dust jacket. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
