Original purple cloth with gilt fish vignette to front, gilt lettering to spine; pp. x + 155, frontispiece and 7 plates; spine a little dulled, previous owners' signature and inkstamp to front endpapers, internally very clean, very good. First edition. Quaintly printed using the letter 'f' for 's', in the style of the Compleat Angler, this is a discursive collection of angling anecdotes.
