Los Angeles: Southern California Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression, 1974. Folded; slightly used. Broadside, printed on one side of a single leaf of yellow paper, approx. 8-1/2 X 11 inches. Bulletin board announcement of a rally at LA's Embassy Auditorium, featuring appearances by Angela Davis, Rev. Ben Chavis, Bert Corona, Gary Lawton, and Nareshimah Osei. Chavis, a former assistant to Martin Luther King Jr., had been convicted as a leader of the "Wilmington Ten" in North Carolina, protesting continued school segregation. In 1993 he would become chairman of the NAACP.
