About This Item
NY: Harper & Brothers. 1954. 1st ed.. The author's first novel, published just after he returned from P aris, where he helped found the Paris Review. Very Good-near fin e in VG d/w. The book itself is clean, bright and tight; the onl y interior flaw is a prior ownerâs inked signature at top of FF EP. No rubbing or chipping to covers, as often bound, but a thin fade line at top and bottom of spine. Dust jacket is not price-c lipped but spine is lightly rubbed at top and bottom with some ag e-toning. .

About Armadillo & Dicker Books & Ephemera
80 Years of Selling Things People Could Easily Live Without -- but now Online only.*****CONDITION: We are conservative graders. If we say FINE you can count on it. If there are any minor defects [e.g. minor shelf-wear] they will be noted. VERY GOOD means there is light shelf or surface-wear, possibly some light age-toning, maybe a prior owner's inked name inside -- but no significant defects. GOOD means we wish we had a better copy too, but still in collectable condition. Any significant defects will be noted. FAIR usually means the interior is good or better but the covers are heavily worn. POOR means both the interior and the covers are damaged. Again, significant defects will be noted.
