About This Item
London: Collins, 1939. Unclipped dustwrapper is in poor shape: torn in half at left-hand side of spine, top inch and bottom two inches or so missing at spine, tears and small bits missing along edges. Some bumping to spine ends and corners of green boards, gilt titles on spine are a bit faded, a previous owner's name on f/ep, but otherwise a not too bad, clean and tight copy of this hard-cover book. A novel by the author of "Northwest Passage", this one is set a few years after, during the American War of Independence, but features some of the same characters. Originally published in January 1939, this is a second impression from the same month. 717pp.. Hard Cover. Good/Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
