Good-. 16 Cms x 23.5 Cms. xii+387, pub.list verso p.387, 12 text figs, 2 col.plates after p.370; innocuous small (15 mm) round stamp of Birmingham Assay Office Library bottom fr. endpaper, pp.197-206 bottom outer corners a little crumpled, some pp.147-177, have small marginal blue inkblots, otherwise internally clean, ight and unmakred; covers have extensive light surface rubbing, front has large circular stain, front joint split top to bottom exposing netting and top back joint also has 1.5 cm split, outer corners all rubbed with cloth breaks. Apparently very scarce but this clearly a reference/ working copy only. Rapidly outdated by greatly enlarged 1935 edition.
