About This Item
New York: Knopf, 1997. First Printing, First U.S. Edition. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. The second novel for this author, better known as a documentary film maker and director, is a mystery-thriller featuring Detective Chief Inspector Cross of Belfast's Royal Ulster Constabulary hunting a serial murderer in the midst of the decades-long hostilities and finding much more than a single violent killer. The previous owner's name and the word, "Read" in ink on the inside front cover, with the name hidden by the dustjacket's flap, o/w boards and text are clean, tight, square; the dustjacket shows wear at the edges and spine ends with a single, quarter-inch tear at the bottom of the spine. No other tears, chipping or significant flaws.
