The first UK edition of this work.In the original clipped dust wrapper and the publisher's original cloth binding. A group of Oxford archeologists discover a hidden island inhabited by hunters with physic and artistic powers. The protagonists must come to understand them and in doing so, find out their unexpected connections. Jacquetta Hawkes was the first woman to study the Archaeology & Anthropology degree course at the University of Cambridge and simultaneously performed archeological excavations whilst writing, campaigning and researching. In the original cloth binding and original clipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear to head and tail of spine. Front board cloth has slight offsetting. Dust wrapper is in very good condition with scattered spotting to the inside of the wrap. Light handling marks and slightly stained spinal panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
