Type: Hardback 1911 Grosset & Dunlap Reprint Hardcover Book in Good Condition, without Jacket. Illustrated by M. Leone Bracker including Frontispiece. Bright red cloth with brown title panel on front, red letters within, black titles to spine, spine color faded to very pale red, clean with one whitish spot on front, light rubbing to edges. Sewn inding tight, solid and square, with inner hinge cracked between front fly leaves. Pages lightly and evenly toned, quite clean, no markings of any kind, no foxing noted. The author's most popular book, an ante-bellum novel with settings ranging from North Carolina to Tennessee, with romance, suspense and adventure. 448 pp 1911. Bobbs-Merrill, US
