Eiffel"" Ce portrait saisissant du magicien du fer fut réalisé l'année de l'inauguration de sa tour éponyme. Erigée à l'occasion de l'Exposition Universelle de Paris, elle était la plus haute structure bâtie du monde à l'époque, dominant le paysage parisien de ses 300 mètres de haut. On doit également à Eiffel la conception de la structure de la Statue de la Liberté. Un autre tirage de ce portrait est conservé à la National Portrait Gallery de Londres.
