Limited trade edition. #81 of 500 copies, as stated. Some smudging on case cover. One pocket is worn; slight toning to pockets. Loose hinge paper. Loose leaves show some foxing. Otherwise, pages unmarked. About very good.

New York: New Directions, 1974. 1st edition, full blue cloth, w/illustrated dj. " . . . a continuing series of ancestral poems" (from the jacket comments.) A bright, fine copy. Appears nearly in 'as new' condition.

An experimental ethnopoetic anthology written, Rothenberg later said, 'in a world of Jewish mystics, thieves, & madmen (Radical Poetics and Secular Jewish Culture, pg. 35).' Printed on loose, handmade Japanese paper housed in cloth boards. One of 550 numbered copies, 1-50 were numbered and signed by the author, and 51-550 were numbered. There was also a lettered edition A-J hors commerce. First edition (first printing). A near fine copy, #365 of 500 numbered copies. In a near fine gray cloth case with a bit of toning to paper lining and pockets. Paper label on case spine. Map and three photo-illustrated cards laid in. Front case cover is slightly curved.

New Directions 1974. octavo softcover (VG) ; all our specials have minimal description to keep listing them viable. They are at least reading copies, complete and in reasonable condition, but usually secondhand; frequently they are superior examples.
