London: Henry Frowde, 1893. Leather. Very Good Indeed. 7.5" by 5". None. The poems of Fireside Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The 'Complete Copyright Edition' from Henry Frowde. In a beautiful tree calf binding with the gilt stamped crest of Wellington College to the front board. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow is known for such lyrics as 'Paul Revere's Ride', 'The Song of Hiawatha' and 'Evangeline'. He was the first American to translate Dante's 'Divine Comedy'. In a full tree calf prize binding with gilt stamping to the spine. Externally, very smart with minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. A small amount of light rubbing to the front joint and raised bands. Prize bookplate from Wellington College to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Otherwise, the odd spot to occasional page. Very Good Indeed
