Illustrated throughout with title page and forty-three in-text images. Collated complete. A collection of poetry, including: Assurance, Church Lock and Key, Gratefulnesse, Marie Magdalene, The Pearl, The World, and many more. Written by George Herbert, an English poet, orator, and priest of the Church of England. Bound by Leighton Son & Hodge, Shoe Lane, London. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and rubbing to the extremities. Rear joint starting but firm. A small mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Contemporary ink inscriptions to the front endpaper. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
